Lawrence is a nurse attorney focusing in the defense of medical malpractice claims. As part of his representation of hospitals and healthcare professionals, he investigates liability and causation issues, conducts medical and diagnostic reviews, and coordinates the work of expert witnesses.
Lawrence was previously a hospice and palliative care nurse at the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, West Haven campus. He has also worked, in a finance and legal capacity, for the Bentley Asset Group and for the structured-settlements spin-off of the Millennium Partners Hedge Fund. As a law student under the tutelage of Professor John Brittain, Lawrence was the author of the Connecticut Small Business Development Center publication A Legal Guide for Connecticut Entrepreneurs.
Prior to joining Carmody, Lawrence was a nurse attorney at the law firm of Donahue, Durham and Noonan P.C.
