Johanna K. Bachmair has recently joined Carmody Torrance Sandak & Hennessey LLP as a Business Services Associate in the firm’s New Haven office.
Johanna represents public and closely-held businesses in all aspects of their operations, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, workouts and corporate governance matters. She also represents financial institutions in a variety of matters, including secured financings. Prior to joining Carmody, Johanna was an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell and then Covington & Burling in New York City with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and debt financings. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York.

Johanna graduated from Cornell Law School magna cum laude and from Davidson College cum laude. At Cornell Law School, Johanna served as Articles Editor of the Cornell Law Review and was honored as the recipient of the Herbert R. Reif Prize and the Fraser Prize.
