Overview

Max is a member of Carmody’s Real Estate Practice Group, where he advises clients regarding commercial, residential, and industrial property transactions, including all aspects of a property transactions from initial offers to closings. Max also advises clients with respect to commercial leases and the title review process.

Prior to joining the firm, and during his term at Vermont Law School, Max spent two years on the Vermont Journal of Environmental law, where wrote his note on the burgeoning New England offshore wind energy market, and served as Notes Editor, assisting staff editors with their energy and climate-related scholarly articles. Max also served as an intern at the Connecticut DEEP, and wrote legal memoranda and administrative motions regarding executive orders on clean energy regulation and the Freedom of Information Act. Max also interned at Suissman Shapiro in New London, writing briefs and motions for litigators in criminal, family, labor and employment matters.

Max also served as a clinician for the Vermont Law School Energy Clinic, where he assisted with financing, regulatory permitting and contract review for a community solar array. He was also a Research Assistant for the Institute for Energy and the Environment, conducting research for the Transportation Climate Initiative on electric vehicle penetration for low-income New England residents.
